I bought this locally in Nashville over the weekend. A customer told me about his Bronco he was about to sell when I was on call Saturday. I checked it out and I had to buy it, you know how it is. I've had several people ask me recently for a decent builder with AT and PS for under 8K, well...here it is! Plus it's a Red/Red Explorer to boot.
Here's the skinny. It has a nice and quiet original 302. The PO claims it was rebuilt just before he bought it in 2012. It runs drives and stops good. The tranny and t'case shift fine. I drove it a few hundred yards and pulled it up onto my trailer today. That's about it. It has a new set of 31x10.50 BFG's. The body is pretty straight, the rear quarter seams are clean.
He has driven it to Atlanta from Nashville several times to see some family who lives there, so it is interstate worthy. The door posts are good but the top hinge on the passenger side needs the backing plate to be redrilled and retapped. I looked the frame over, and I don't see any rust issues.
Interior has a pair of Bestop front buckets, original rear seat and rollbar. It has some interior and exterior sheet metal patches here and there. All the glass is good. The front fenders aren't cut under the flares. She might be perfect to sort out and drive as is, or do a full restoration since she's a factory Red/Red Explorer.
Contact me if interested and enjoy the pictures.
