Greetings all, ive been looking these forums for some time now and decided I should jump in to get some quetions asked, and maybe some constructive discussion :)

First off I've got an uncut 77 bronco that has the 5.0 v8 and c4 transmission that were pretty shot when I started the tear down. So I ordered a bluepoint 408 to replace the engine, Now i'm looking at what transmission to get, it seems like the coneses is to get the 4r70. Would the tranny in the link to jegs.com suffice?

https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/603032/10002/-1
or what about this monster tranny https://monstertransmission.com/products/streetmonster-ford-4r70w-transmission-torque-converter-4wd?variant=50391858577717
and by getting a 4r70 i'd need to get this adapter? https://www.wildhorses4x4.com/early-bronco-ford-aode-4r70w-dana-20-transfer-case-adapter?

and do I need a support mount?

Is there a tried and true tranny that is more of plug-and-play, i'd be willing to pay more for something that is easier to install.

Tear down meaning complete restore, or just power train? Fuel injection added, ? What’s your intended use of vehicle ,, adding overdrive , you will more then likely need gear ratio change as well, .

I'm planning a complete teardown and restoration. The engine currently sitting in the crate is this one: Blueprint Engines 408ci SBF Stroker Crate Engine. This vehicle originally belonged to my grandfather and sat unused for 12 years through harsh Midwest winters, so my goal is to thoroughly go through every component and bring it back to life. I plan to use it mostly for road driving with some light off-road use, but nothing extreme like trails or heavy off-roading.
