I drive a lot, like 4k miles a month sometimes. In the 3.5eco in an F150 I ran 87 all the time, and a couple times I ran a tank of 91 or 93, and it would show maybe .2-.4mpg better, but the cost for the fuel did not make economic sense. Like I could get 18 more miles on a tank at a cost of $18 (rough numbers off the top of my head) and for $18 I could get enough 87 octane to go much farther than 18 miles.
