I have a brand new 11" Luk clutch I would like to use on my project with an 87 302HO and a 4spd Toploader- what flywheel is necessary for the conversion as most I found are 10.5"?
I am not sure about the clutch but there was a thread in the last two weeks where we discussed an early 90s F150 flywheel b/c it was appropriate for the Bronco clutch and had the correct balancing for the 5.0 engine....hold on let me search.... here. http://www.classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71492&page=1&highlight=F150+flywheel
about half way down Lars discusses the appropriate flywheel to order from NAPA...if you want new. Good luck.
Most guys stick with the 5.0 / 10.5" clutch as it is a lot cheaper to keep your current flywheel than to buy a new one. If you've got one I would keep it and get a 10.5 clutch. That way you can use the automatic starter instead of the manual and you'll have far less cost involved.
