Time to get rid of my rusty steel wheels. I want to put my 33x12.5 BFG's on a set of AR 8x15 Baja wheels. The BFG website lists the minimum width for that tire is 8.5 inches. Anyone see a problem with doing this? Eventually I want to go to 33x10.5's but I still have some good tread life on my 33x12.5's.

I run 35x12.50s on 8" rims and 32x11.50 on 7" rims. Pooches out your tire a touch to keep the rocks from refacing your rims.

I ran that combo too with nice results. I don't like the aesthetics of a really wide rim on a somewhat wide tire. Makes the combo look like a prolapsed rectum.

Thanks for the advice. I am so sick of my current 10" rims. Thay make the tire look too fat and give me clearance issues. Hopefully the 8" wheels will help this. I do like the look of the tires on Astark's rig.

If I do decide to convert to 33x10.5's I am a bit worried the stance will look to narrow. Any off-road handeling differences betwen a 12.5 and a 10.5?

i run 8" wide on 33x12.50's on my bronc. i ran the same set up on my old ramcharger for about 5yrs and never had any problems. the 12.50 will have wider foot print and will give you more traction.
