351C guys - Exhaust manifold options?

For any of you 351C guys out there. I dropped in my freshly rebuilt 351C last night. I have a cracked exhault manifold on the passenger side. Are the exhaust manifolds from a 351M/400 the same as this one? For the time being, I would prefer to just replace it so I don't have to mess with my exhaust.

Long term I'm looking at headers. Anyone have any luck fitting headers in there?

Oh ya, the is a 70 block with the 4V heads.

If your heads are the 2V Cleveland heads, they're identical to the 351M/400 heads, and exhaust manifolds from those will work fine. If you've got a 4V cleveland, you'll want the 4V manifolds to go with those huge exhaust ports.

Not sure how they'll clear in your Bronco engine compartment though. On my brother's rig, he modified the 4V manifolds by cutting the collectors off, turning and re-welding them on to clear the frame rails. It was a temporary measure because he later built a set of headers for it.

Yes, they are the 4V heads with the big ports. I guess for now I'll have the crack weled up and keep my eyes open for some other stock manifolds.

The engine is still in the machine shop. Should I go all out to 434 cubic inches. I will show some pictures when I get it in the frame. Working on the body now.

Tim has not started on the build yet so it is not too late. Do you think I should? Hows that injection coming?

Sorry total hi jack.

Sorry total hi jack.

I KNOW you should.;) ..Three fuel injection options are already mature..two using Holley Commander 'puters and then there is Dan Lee's 'all Ford' solution. None of them work on an engine with less than 430 cubes though...:p

End of hijack.

I hope you did not go to 434 cubic inches on your build Bax. The oil rings will intersect through the wrist pins and you will have major oil blowby. A 6.2 inch con-rod will help, but you are pushing it....

For fuel injection, I am adding a 5.0 ported TrickFlow intake MAF 30# injectors to my Cleveland with intake adapter plates.

Did your build ever get completed? Mad and I want pics!!!

Exhaust....Sanderson here as well.

I stayed with the stock 400. Went 15 over to clean up the bore. Yes it is done. I used the sanderson as well. They are good headers. You should trim the pasenger side inner fender. you will burn the paint off if you don't. How do I know that? Tuned the motor tonight and it runs good. I have more to do but there is a monster in that truck.
Mad. It's a comander 950 system MPFI
