66-75 & 76-77 Suspension Difference?

In looking at catalogs, there's always a differentation between 66-75 & 76-77 suspension kits. What's the reason for this?

I suspect its the heavy duty rear axle, with a larger housing diameter??? If so, is it just different U-bolts?

like the others said basically nothing different except the trac bar. Springs and shocks will all be the same. with the exception of some early 66's which used a different rear shock mounting.

My '77 has the goofy "Y" drag link assembly. That is one difference. Actually works better on the road but is really vulerable on the trail!
