I'm now confused as to which one is needed for the TRO conversion. On the web i've seen all three mentioned. Mike at Complete Offroad lists an 8 degree reamer, Chuck at BC's lists 1.5" change per 12" reamer which is near 7.13 degrees or 7 degrees.

Some say that the snap-on economy reamer is not dead on correct. Others say that this one from Goodson is what you need.

TR-216-2 Tapered Reamer 7/16in-1inx6 1/2in
6 1/2in overall length, 4 1/2in flute length, 7/16in Small end diameter, 1in Big end diameter, 1 1/2in taper per foot.

So, I want it dead on correct.

The Snap On reamer is not worth buying. I have seen first hand how soft they are. If you want a good reamer for fabricating high steer arms, you will want a spiral reamer. You can get one from ebay for $99. You can also get a straight flute reamer for a little less. Six Flute spiral design allows smooth operation with minimal tool wear. Taper is 1-1/2"/FT. for 20031, 33, 34, 35, 36, Afco ball joints Ebay #4523474741. THIS M2 HIGH SPEED BALL JOINT AND TIE ROD TAPER REAMER IS BRAND NEW AND MADE IN THE U.S.A. BY XKUT. 1-1/2" TAPER PER FOOT. OVERALL LENGTH IS 6-1/2". FLUTE LENGTH IS 4-1/2". LARGE DIAMETER IS 1". SMALL DIAMETER IS 7/16". SHANK DIAMETER IS 1/2" WITH A SQUARE ON THE END. REAMER HAS 6 FLUTES. THIS TOOL CAN BE USED BY HAND WITH A TAP WRENCH OR IN A DRILL PRESS OR VERTICAL MILL WITH A 1/2" OR LARGER DRILL CHUCK OR 1/2" COLLET. THIS REAMER IS MADE FROM PREMIUM M2 HIGH SPEED STEEL 64 ROCKWELL NOT 01 TOOL STEEL ALSO KNOWN AS "CARBON". MANY OF OUR COMPETITORS ARE STILL MAKING THESE REAMERS OUT OF 01 CARBON AND CHARGING HIGH SPEED STEEL PRICES. THUS, YOU DON'T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! REMEMBER GUYS, THIS IS A REAMER NOT A DRILL! THE BASIC RULE OF THUMB IS TO RUN A REAMER AT HALF THE SPEED (RPM) AND TWICE THE FEED OF A DRILL. THIS REAMER WILL DO PRODUCTION RUNS AND CUT MATERIAL QUICKLY AT LOWER SPEEDS AROUND 300 RPM. Ebay #4637694749
Either Reamer is good, the spiral will cut faster, cleaner and last longer.

1-1/2 per foot is the one you want....that works out to 7.?*. I forget.

I first bought the snap-on one, and it's a piece of doo doo. Furthermore, it's a finish reamer for cleaning up holes.

You want a reamer with spiral flutes. I bought this one. It's nice.

The one BC's has is from Goodson.
