76 bronco wipers stuck

can someone help before I spend too much money. My 76 bronco wipers are stuck, when i turn the nob i here some noise not sure if its motor but something is on but wipers are frozen. Is this just a motor or something else that can cause this.

If you are hearing noise then it is not a fuse.
My immediate thoughts are that the wiper mechanism under the cover at the head liner are bound up.

good idea I will take the cover off and check that out.

The actuating arm/cam might also have come loose
