'76 Spindle to steering knuckle nuts torque

As the title sez---Whats the torque for the 5 nuts holding the spindle to the steering knuckle? When I was taking it apart, it certainly felt like a bunch---

in the factory service manual (not chilton or haynes) is says only 30-40 ft.pounds for the spindle to steering knuckle retaining bolts

yup, that's what i found. do them in a star pattern like lug nuts. lots of grease on the lip in case you need to get it off again!

Aren't there 6 bolts? Or is it different for various years.

'76 '77 had 5 studs already in the spindles that you put nuts on. that's why if you use '76 or later discs on an earlier dana 44 you had to use the entire knuckle.
