9" protection - need your input on skid plates

I'm afraid that if I keep riding in the rocks like I did this past weekend I'm going to do some serious damage to my 9" differential.
I installed a heavy duty diff cover for my D44 and it is taking a beating but my 9" needs some protection.
I'd like to know your opinions on skid plates/protection for the 9" differential.
Who makes the best?

Thanks

I have/like the one from Duffs. Close fit and maintains good ground clearance. Protects the yoke/joint a bit too.

I have the one from great lakes offroad too and it has held up very well so far. It seems like it would take quite a beating. Duff's is a nice design.

Thanks

Ruff Stuff has a 9" pinion guard as well...something like that combined with a good shave and plate kit should get you all squared away. A truss wouldn't hurt if you're pushing some serious ponies and/or plan on beating on it.

That one from Ruff Stuff looks like it would be pretty nice because it appears to be a give a little bit more clearance than the other ones.

I beat my 9 inch flat on rocks. Then just added some 1/4 inch plate on the flat spot. Added a great lakes pinion guard too.

Thanks bud. The plate that I added to the bottom after the shave is 1/2" plate. Think I can really beat the snot out of it.
