I voted for #1,but I liked both. I would buy either. They both look great and I'm interested in both shirts and the hats. I'll have to put them on the Christmas list.
On a T shirt #2 is fine, but on a nice polo shirt you don't want a giant colored patch on your chest. #1 is much simpler and understated (classy) for a polo shirt. #2 is fine for the hat.
Just my 02c.

I like them both but I am not too fond of the brown color scheme . On the hats it would be a toss up . I also think it would look good to put the logo on the sleeve instead of the front chest area . I have worn a couple of shirts with logos embroidered on the chest and it rubs me the wrong way ;D I also agree that the bronco in both logos should be larger ...just a little ...not too big
I may work on some alternate colors for the brown one. It was supposed to be sort of a retro look, but I realize that brown won't look good on every color shirt either.
I think the forst logo is more representative of what I would expect to be the logo for the site, but the mock ups for the shirt and hat led me to vote for the second logo. It looks a lot better on apparel than the first one.
The second one makes me think of the host of My Classic Car. He's got the HUGE handlebar mustache. It's got more of a classic look as the first one has more of a modern era look to it. I still like them both.
