I'm back working on the 70, finally.
So I'm keeping my dual tanks, because
I think they are cool. Using cheap transfer
pump to run fuel from side tank to rear,
when rear gets low.

I see the fuel level switch has multiple contacts.
Would like the transfer pump to run, when I switch
over to the side tank fuel level.

Line will be under no or minimal pressure, just
transferring, so I'm curious if that switch could handle
the current of one of those cheap transfer pumps,
under no load?

So the fuel tank selector switch is robust enough to
run pumps, even under pressure for carbs?
Should be plenty for me then............

If you are worried about it you could run the pumps on relays.

Of course, but I want to put in one of those relay/fuse boxes under the hood and really don't feel like runing another set of wires from that switch all the way out to eng compt and back, unless I really have to. I'm hoping not to put any relays under the dash, except maybe the heater fan that I upgraded.

top row

main / Gauge / Aux

bottom row

empty / 12v / Aux pump

I ran my Carter LP pump off a 5 amp fuse with no issues.
