yesterday mike and i attacked my engine head leak, wish fingers crossed this will fix my weird coolant problems. when we got to down to unbolting the heads, the last one on the back of the engine was barely hand tight!!! no idea how this would come loose, but got it out, cleaned everything up, and started putting her back together. started putting the head bolts all back in, and mike, with the torque wrench, started tightening everything down. the bolt that was loose earlier would not get tight. took it out, and it had broken off down inside the head. found a pick, and was able to spin it right now, whoo hoo!

mike happen to have a spare head bolt, so we are now back on track. everything else went back together smoothly. got her started, and she hasn't over heated, and im getting heat inside. so she lives again. now...back to my drive shaft problem, hehe. when it aint one thing, its another. but atleast i can drive her again...except at the moment, it went from being the parent's lawn ornimate or mike's hehe.

btw, mike sterling, i cant thank you enough for taking time out of you schedule to teach and help me out with all this....and digging into your bronco stash, hehe;D

Yes indeed, you two knocked out quite a bit of major maintenance. It makes me feel good that you have it up and running again. Good thing..........Howiepalooza is coming up before you know it.;D

Then again, it never hurts to work on a Bronco in such a nice garage!!!!

i was expecting the head work to be like a two day project... i aint complaining. yeah, glad mike was able to find me some room in that 4 bay garage of his, haha!!.

well, the drive shaft is a bit too long for my truck. it barely extents. it doesnt extend but about 3/4s. from a previous thread, i started getting this squeaking noise, that at first sounded like a bad u-joint. the noise went along with the speed i was going. the h housing in the shaft was replaced by one of dad's spare drive shafts (his couldnt reach from the transfer case to the back yoke, as to why we had to take it apart). noise remained, so we though the rear end went out. well, at least i finally got my new gears in there, but unfortunately, didnt fix the problem....oh btw! i have brakes again!!!! hehe okay...thats a whole other story%)

mike was going to take one of his drive shafts, and put it on mine and see if the noise goes away or not. if i put the rear in neutral and front in, the noise is not there as well. just when the rear is engaged
