AOD and Lokar TV cable - High idle pressure

Well I installed the Lokar TV cable and ended up doing some modifications and fabbing up my own bracket near the transmission, cutting/welding the Lokar TV on existing TV lever at the transmission, adding a spring to the back of the TV lever to take up the cable slack, etc. In the end, I'm not overly happy with the Lokar system. In a perfect world, I'm sure it would work when installing an AOD in a car. However, when dealing with a AOD conversion in a Bronco, there other considerations to be taken into account..mainly the front driveshaft and it's relationship to the transmission shift/TV levers. You cannot (in mine anyway) install the Lokar TV lever pointing down as it WILL get hit by the front drive shaft when the front end compresses. I also have a cable shifter which also cannot be installed with the gear selector lever pointing down. So...both my TV/gear selection levers are pointed up, meaning the Lokar TV lever could not be installed facing up as the cable gear lever would catch on it. Wonderful stuff I tell ya!

Anyways, I still have high idle pressure after all this mess, 32 psi., fully warmed up in park. Neutral is 36 psi. It shifts firm, but not tire barking stuff, just like before. Any ideas at this point?

Not to hijack, but mine has a b&m shifter with stock cable. Also has carb setup.

Paid top dollar to have rebuilt, when I first picked her up she would slip in and out of gear when cold, and it puked fluid when engine started. Does the same after the rebuild, they even added a tube vent to "relieve pressure" or something but when it downshifts it feels like the trans is grenading through gears. No problems shifting up gears and no slipping when warm.

Not trying to be harsh, but I'd take it back to whomever built your transmission and get your money back! Is yours an AOD? If so, then I'd check your TV cable adjustment...

Do yourself a favor and go to harbor freight and get the oil pressure test kit, about $23. Connect it to the transmission on the test port (passenger side). If your not sure where the test pressure port is, do a search..plenty of articles. You can then adjust the TV cable properly.
