Alright ladies and gentlemen, I am in dire need of some help and clarification. I have been cleaning up and painting (new gaskets) my d-20 J shift prior to mating it to the AOD with the AA adapter. Something looks wrong and I need some input. As you can see from pictures below I have given you shots of the adapter (51-2703) the shaft and what I have with the Dana 20. Am I missing something here? How does the AA adapter mate to the D-20 properly? Am I missing a piece, have the wrong setup? What gives? I need the assistance of the Bronco Gods here! (Believe AOD is the newer version)

Thanks in advance

Brettman

Thanks Mad...Bought this from a fellow EB member here in H-Town. I looked at AA website and checked the install diagram, I could not see what was missing if anything. Should someone have a photo or something that will be of a great assistance. Is this NOT the adapter, this is the piece that bolts onto the AOD that mates to the Dana 20.

Well from looking at your pictures. It looks like your showing us the rear of the transfer case and output shaft. The aod adapter looks fine, looks like your missing the input gear for the transfer case, but you should have that off your old spud shaft and adapter.

You are going to love the AOD. What gears and size tires are you gonna run?
