AOD with AA dana 20 kit question...

If you have the AA dana 20 kit put on an AOD (kind of like the Art Carr AOD that BCB sells)...will the dana 20 simply bolt right up, or is there more to it?

Not quite sure what your asking here the BCB tranny is ready for the D20 to bolt on. If you get a AA kit you basically need a 2wd tranny and then tear it apart to install the outputshaft. once that is in and the adapterhousing is on then the D20 basically bolts on. look in the links section there are writups on installation and mods needed.

If I had the Art Carr AOD with AA kit installed that BCB sells...and I have a dana 20, will they just bolt together, or is there something else that has to be done (machining, disassembly, etc.)? The reason I'm asking is because I found a shop that sells the aod with adapter installed and they also sell the dana 20, but if you want them together, the price jumps up $200.....If they simply bolt together, I'll save myself $200.

If the Art Carr AOD has the AA output shaft and the AA tail housing installed then yes the Dana 20 bolts right up.
FYI, the AOD has to be completly disassembled to add the AA output shaft. The tail housing is the easy part as well as bolting the Dana 20 to the AA tail housing.

Sounds like the extra $200 is for a D20 t case.
Yes if its already has the D20 adapter bolted to it then you can use your dana 20.
