Applying seam sealer

anybody have any videos on how to apply the seam sealer on the rear quarter panels and tailgate. Is it just like caulking you use on a tub, as far as application........use you finger???????

Put some reducer on your finger and that will help make it smooth. I kept dipping my finger in a little cup of it. Otherwise just like caulk. Take your time!

I use masking tape on both sides to make the border nice. I like the two part sealer. I'll apply it and finger trowel like was suggested than peel the tape and trowel again to feather it. Ken

Be sure to read the label or check on line, many seam sealers need to go over primer, other go bare metal.

Exactly the way I do it,as was said previously,take your sweet time and you should be fine. ;)

I had a hard time getting good results with the finger method, maybe it was the seam sealer i used but I ended up using a fairly soft body filler spreader. Tape both sides of seam like mentioned earlier. The soft spreader still the leaves the seam visible like it should be. was easier for me.

cut the tip the right size and keep your fingers out of it. a nice 1/4" bead would look sweet,,,,,,a fat fingered,,,,,smeared out bead will look like poo. I used lord fusor seam sealer.....look at my build thread.
