Everyone says quadrajet carbs are so good off road and I am having problems w/ my Holley. I have 2 old carbs, a 74 big block, and a 70 351C that are spread bores. Will these be what i am looking for?

I run an oem 2 barrel, professionally rebuilt with an "offroad float kit" on my 302. Before the rebuild it was an MPOS, it would stall and sputter, and gave me all kinds of offcamber and altitude related problems. Thats a bummer, because that is what 'wheelin' is for me. Since the rebuild, it runs like a champ. I rolled the EB over the top and onto its side and had to turn the motor off, it kept running!
