Astroboost flat bracket hitting valve covers

A few years ago I installed my Astroboot using the flat bracket.

A little while later I changed the engine mounts and had to shim between the mounting plate and firewall. I even enlarged the bolt holes so I could shift the bracket further.

I just reinstalled the engine and cannot use the valve covers I was planning to use because they hit the lines going into the Astroboot.

If your using the flat bracket, how did you clock the resevoir?
I have an angled Astroboost bracket but it I will have to do a lot of rework due to the location of the Astro proportioning valve.

Would a hose shop be able to make 90 degree fitting that would eliminate the need for an adapter?

I used the factory hoses (both Bronco and Astrovan) and took them to a hose shop. They spliced the metal ends on to new hose with a compression ferule. This allowed me to clock them at any angle before final tightening. This did it for me and cost me less than $100 including the new Astro hose.

Mine are very close to the stock stamped steel valve covers but they clear. If you have anything tall it wont fit.

Locofomoco sells a clocking bracket that can be turned to any angle. Just tell him how much and he can cut it for you. I used it so my hoses would clear my steering shaft.

I think BC also sells an adapter that allows the hydroboost unit to be rotated 180° but keep the mc level. If 180° will do it for you.
