Auto Column Conversion Wiring

I have a 72 Bronco that I converted to automatic. I am in the process of changing the turn signal switch. I ordered a 74 to 77 turn signal switch. It has a hazard light switch built into it (white/red wire). My emergency flasher switch is in the dash. Can I tie the wire from the turn signal switch into my existing wiring to get both switches working?

If you can find a 65-72 turn signal housing from a F100 ford truck auto column you can use your existing turn signal switch. I think you can find the on other ford models but I used the F100. This is what they used for the 73 bronco auto column which was a one year only column and it used the same turn signal switch as the 66-72 bronco Manual column. Wrecking yards are a good source to find them. If your looking to clean up your dash you can wiring in to the 74-77 turn signal switch.

I have a formerly manual 72 with a 78 or so auto column. I rewired it to work properly and just removed the hazard switch on the column. Not exactly what you were asking but just an FYI.

I’m in the process of the same job, 66 standard shift converting to a 75 automatic column shifter. Did you figure it out? I need some help.
Thanks,
Tim
