bed repair

My truck has a good bed panel except where it meets the front floor behind the seats.The transition area between the ribbed floor and the flat metal area is where mine is rusted out across the whole truck.Is there any way to fix this other than buying the whole bed repair panel? when all i need is the front 4 inches? Didn't find anything after a quick search.Thanks for the time.
