Best 2.5" Coils for my application

Ive seen alot different reviews regarding 2.5" coils. Looking for best on road manners (soft/tight feel) with minimal body roll. Going to be running King shocks and possibly addco swaybars.

You may want a linear rate coil.

JBG and BC are the only linear rate coils I am aware of. I've had both. BC's are softer than JBG's.
I am running JBG's now. Good handling. Good ride. But I miss the slightly softer BC's.

If you are relying on the springs to do it:

A soft ride comes with more body roll.

Reduced body roll comes with a stiffer ride.


A softer ride is possible with sway bars front and rear to control the body roll.

I just put a 2 1/2 inch lift on my 1970, used Wild Horses rear leafs and Skyjacker #172 linear coils. Love the ride and it sits level

I have the JBG superflex springs on my Bronco and the ride is super smooth. However, the lift is taller than advertised. My 4.5" lift is more like a 6.5" suspension lift. I noticed the 2.5" coils unsprung length is 23" and I think the other brands are 20-21" unsprung I believe.

The JBG Superflex springs are a Deaver product and are, "according to the peanut gallery" a little softer than the BC's.

I have ran the JBG brand coil and it rides nice but is likely not as soft as their Deaver Superflex line of springs.
