I went with the Bestop because my understanding was that I did not need to lower my wiper motor. However, after installing their 2-piece windshield header, the passenger side sticks out a 1/4" in the middle because of the wiper motor. Is there a trick to this that I am missing or do I indeed need to lower the motor?

Can you post a picture? You should be able to bolt it up flush with the backside of the windshield frame, my wiper motor touches the riser a little bit but I was able to budge it back enough to make it work.

As is usually the case, the problem wasn't a manufacturer's defect, it was a user defect. Figured out the riser and got the top on and surprisingly it fits and looks pretty good!

It was just a matter of backing everything off, lining the the pieces up in the middle, cranking the middle bolt that holds the two, and working my way out to each end. Seems pretty obvious after the fact, but that's how I roll.
