Black or chrome/polished wheels?

Planning on getting MT Classic IIIs.

The chrome/polished aluminum ones are fine. But what about black? I've only seen pics. They're identified as satin, is that too shiny? With black fender flares that are slightly faded, which style would look better?

Then, how about the Classic Baja Lock? Same wheels, in matte black, with chrome bead lock?

The truck is bright green.

Thanks.

I'm too old I suppose, but have never been a fan of black rims...with very few exceptions.

Just my 2 cents. ;)

for me it is about other things, like what color are your bumpers, handles, wipers, locks. if i had black flares i would want the rest of my stuff to match. when you look at high end cars it all matches. real clean look.

Those are polished aluminum not chrome.

I like them in polished aluminum.
If they were chrome I would pick black.

Like ared77 said - it might be an " age thing" - LOL . As soon as we could afford them we bought chrome or mag wheels and we were elated when they came out with raised white letters - soo - my vote is for the Chrome/polished aluminum . Although now that I'm getting used to black wheels on EBs and now they've also come out with some nice designs I'm not so opposed to black just not my preference.

I have both , my daily drivers are Mickey Thompson Classic II's polished and my Allied bead locks are black.

OK. Thanks.

I'm going with the MT Classic III, polished aluminum, 15 inch. Which ones? 15x8, 15x10, 15x12?

Then, I'm going with BFG MT tires. With 2 1/2 lift, I'm thinking 35". Better than 33"?
Which size, width, ratio should I get?

I'll be driving the truck occasionally, not bashing it, so I'm focused more on the appearance than the comfort level.

Thanks.

I am not sure a 35" tire will fit with 2-1/2" lift unless you have really exaggerated cut outs. Some people run 8" wide rims with a 12.50 tire but I think 10" would be preferred.

Thanks. So, the 10". They have the 15x10 5x4.5 and 15x10 5x5.5 . That's bolt pattern, but not sure what the other number is? Which one?

Regarding tires - currently, 32", which are way too small. Was thinking 33", but it looks like it has the clearance for 35". I want to fill out the wheel wells nicely, but don't want it too look too big. But, 33" may be too small? What do most folks go with?

You will need the 5.5 bolt pattern, might want to check your back spacing as well before ordering...

Polished....I think black only looks good when the entire truck is "murdered out".

OK. So the 15x10 5x5.5 MT Classic III wheels are what I need.

Then, which tire size? BFG MT comes in 33X10.5R15LT , 33X12.5R15LT , and 35X12.5R15LT. I'm assuming that 35 won't fit, or will it? Some folks are running 35s. If not 35s, then 33X10.5R15LT?

Thanks.

I've become a fan of the black & machined wheels, some of the all black wheels look good with chrome caps and polished lug nuts too. ;D:cool:;)
