Blaster 2 or Flame Thrower 2 coil and points ?

A confession first......My '74 Bronco is wanting to give one of its no longer needed modern coils to help my "73 Mustang be a reliable driver so I can get parts for my EFI conversion........thus, in a way this is a Bronco tech question.

Can a Pertronix Flame Thrower II or a MSD Blaster 2 coil be used with the stock points distributor in my Mustang? Bummer that my Pertronix 351W distributor won't work in the 351C Mustang motor.

Thanks to this boards Bronco wisdom as I don't want to screw up my only running car at this time.
