Body color grille with chrome grille trim

My 73 came from the factory with the Ranger package, however the side trim and grille trim was long gone and the holes filled when I bought it. It still has all the other pieces of chrome trim but it hasn't had the doors on for years and it has 1/4 guards. So all that's on it now is around the windshield, front side marker lights, tailgate handle, and the headlights. I like the looks of what's left and considering putting the trim back on the grille. Curious how that looks with the grille same color as body. IF there are some out there would sure like to see pics.

Blue with a blue grill. Top was missing when I got it. Dash was off white.

That's the look I was wondering about. Mine is forest green, right now doesn't have the trim but it came with it from the factory. I may just leave it off, the holes are already plugged so it would take some work to put back on, just considering since going to be painting in the spring. If I do add seems going back to argent would look best.

My preference is Argent or Black with trim, Wimbledon White or body color without trim. Just me. I have seen some that look fine with body color and the trim but I probably wouldn't do mine that way.

However for a few years I did have my trail rig orange and I used Dupicolor "Cast Iron" for the grille and bumpers and other trim. Something different. Probably would not look good with dark green though.

Mine used to be argent but I wanted to paint it black. While standing at the store's paint rack, I decided on midnight blue instead, same color as my roll cage.
