Good morning,
I have been tearing my bronco apart for a year now, replacing rusted out pieces.
It is obvious to me now that some previous owner had either rolled the bronco or rubbed a tree/rock because of all the underlying damage I am finding as I wind my way through the bronco.
Looking closely at my driver quarterpanel, I can tell that it has been impacted/rubbed and they just roughly beat it out and covered it with bondo to make it 'look' fine.
When I stand at the back of the truck and sight down the top of the quarterpanel (top is off) it is easy to see a slight dogleg on the outside of the upper quarterpanel.
Before I started cutting all my metal off I put a significant amount of bracing in the tub so the cowl, floor, inner top quarterpanels would stay in position while I cut out material around it.
Now that I am getting to the quarter panel area, I am wondering if the tub is 'pinched' because of the outside influence of the rock/tree that the previous owner whacked the outside of the tub with.
Can anyone please give me some dimensions of the width of the tub, inside to inside? Without their top on is preferable. I would like a measurement at the front middle and back, please.
In addition to that, if anyone has pictures/tips/tricks on quarterpanel replacement, that would be appreciated as well.
Thanks,
Chris
