Hi, ALL, thanks for the help with my other questions. I have a couple about body lifts. What is all involed in doing a body lift? What will I need to look out for? I want to do a 3 1/2 sup. lift and 35" tires, and a 1 or 2" body lift. My Bronco is a 74 with a 302, still a lot of work to do, but getting there. Hope one of these days to out on the trail with some of you. Never have done a lot of trail riding just used it for hunting and have fun in the mud. It would be great if someone could help me with these questions, I know you will there are some great people on this forum. Thanks again.

2" needs extensions on shifters and or clutch unless already on the floor or an auto, brake mc lines, and a slip steering or modified steering shaft.

Also, you may need a new gas tank filler hose. They are flexible, so you can get away with 1" by just stretching/bending it, but with 2" you might want one that fits better.

You don't need a body lift to clear 35s if it is cut or you are going to cut and flare it. The 3.5" suspension is more than adaquate to clear 35s. If you are keeping it uncut, then yes you are going t need a body lift to clear 35s.

I am running a 1" body lift on my rig to clear my NV3550 transmission. If you ever swap to a 351W, you will also need a body lift to help with clearance issues. Body lifts bigger than 1" are ugly in my opinion unless you do a lot of bumper modifications to fill the gaps caused by the body lift.

I just finished a 2" body lift on my 71' and as mentioned above you will need an extension for the clutch rod, shift linkage adjustment, I have the stock 3 speed and I was able to get away with adjusting the rods.
Your steering shaft will need work and the shroud for your radiator will have to be lowered, also I needed extended e-brake lines. here is a before and after pic after the body lift.
