Brake vent hose

What’s the brake vent hose made out of?

If it’s attached to your axle it’s a vent for the axle. Only gear oil fumes so don’t think the material matters to much.

I believe you can use fuel/vacuum hose.

The correct axle vent hose would be fuel/vapor/emissions/PCV hose, but I've used silicone.

I've had fuel line on mine for decades.

There is a hole in the frame (at least on mine) above the brake line mounting bracket that I fed the end into and put a clamp and bolted down through the frame bracket. Figured it would help keep crud from entering the end of the hose. Fancy hose filters exist but I was on a broke college kid budget when I installed mine.

Ya I was just getting ready to ask how the heck it attaches up there on the frame
