What is the best way to remove the bright anodized aluminum trim that goes around the glass on the doors, top and windshield without damaging it?

I used this custom one of a kind trim removal tool. You can get one from Snap On for 50 bucks or bag one from the kitchen when the wife isn't looking.

Doors you take off with a putty knife and a mallet. Lightly tapping the edges to get it to pop off.

On the trim that goes around the glass, I've always had to take the weather stripping out to get it off. Some have had better luck than I getting it off without removing the weather stripping.
