Bronco Driver the Game - Official Build Thread

Update 11/4/16 :

Thought I'd post some progress I've made. The app has changed quite a bit from the initial idea. Rather than an arcade style Bronco driving experience (think Mario Kart), it's now using car physics for a more realistic offload experience...way more fun too.

Hey everybody...

Being that Bronco Builder has been so successful (and btw thanks to all for downloading and enjoying), I've decided to take it one step further and develop a game as well. Bronco Driver: Heep Rescue! is now in development, and will let players shoot (and destroy...or rescue) Heaps (lol) and there will be challenges, racing, shooting and whatever else I can think of (or you'd like for me to include).

I'll try to keep updating this thread as the game progresses...and hopefully include some screen shots etc.

Oh and by the way, this one will be Free-to-Play!

Is it possible to allow us to add graphics to our bronco's in bronco Builder? I want to use mine for a Children's ministry rolling attraction but i can't find a way to do a layout of graphics in it.

Blame Jane, meant to ask you if it's possible to port bronco builder to vr? Most of the games are using Unity. My Samsung VR just runs off my note 5.

I saw another car app, but you couldn't customize, just pick a porsche, mustang or mercedes and either look around it, or sit in it at the beach and listen to their preset playlist. There was also a mode where the car drove you down a back country road, but it overheated the phone real quick.

HB73 that's an interesting idea and I know the platform supports VR, but whether or not I would get around to it is an whole 'nother story. Pretty much gonna be spending my time developing Bronco Driver and hopefully putting in some new parts for Bronco Builder.

We thought about that, but decided to take the game in a different direction. We still have ideas for BB, one being a feature where you can get into your bronco and drive out of the garage (to do...something). If not that, then one where you use your bronco in some kind of driving/rock-climbing tasks. It's all TBD for now

Thanks all for your thoughts and ideas. My only hope is that Bronco Driver doesn't take too long to develop. I'm trying to organize it so that I can release it with all of the basic functionality, then add updates which expand on the entertainment/game-play.

I've got the first level started, bronco drives around with the touch controls, camera follows, and enemy heeps at various positions in the scene.

To do:

Inventory system
Fuel system
Monetary system
Enemy AI
Player Health
Side Tasks / Achievements
...

Thanks Crush. Here's a quick video I recorded, which shows the proof of concepts I'm currently working on.

Keep in mind, the props, sounds, graphics and 3D bronco are just placeholders for now. The user interface is nonexistent in terms of game play. The good news is the bronco is moving based on the joystick touches, and the target button launches shells. We also have the beginnings of a player health system.

I can't tell you how fun this is to do LOL.
