So this is my deal, I was given a free 71 bronco over the summer and I have been trying to figure out what to do with it. I was going to get it up and running and use it localy over the winter cause I want to run a EB in the winter and not worry about rust. But I have so little time and three other broncos to work on, so Im on a cliff. I was thinking of just selling it as is or parting it out, then I thought of my sister who expressed to me the day I brought home my 72 how bad she wanted one. Last year she was on a kick for a jeep(cj) and I expressed to her and my brother in law you going to have to spend 5 to 6 to get something decent. Alot has happened in the last year with family issue's and I was thinnking with my handy brother in law and my bronco knowledge we can build my sis a great bronco and my two and a half year old neice a kick a22 bronco when she turns 16;D;D;D;D let me know what ya think??? I will clean it out and put a bow on it and bring it over XMAS eve:D:D:D

I think you personally would get a lot more out of it by giving to your sister. You'll get to see what she want's in a Bronco. The best part is they will get all the hand me downs from your upgrades.;D

as an older sibling, my heart always bleeds for my younger ones, but be careful. my youngest sister once wanted a mustang. between my dad and I we got her a '67. we restored it, got it running and did much of the bloody knuckle work. well, months later she stated she wanted something more modern.

so, give the sis the bronco, but don't be surprised if the small luxuries of a newish car sways her perception.

No I dont think she will go that way they have two year cars and it would be a summer crusier. She has wanted a Bronco/Jeep for a while she wants it to take to the beach and use it on nice days. The big isssue with me and my brother inlaw was saftey and it not being a pile of rust. So maybe with some elbow grease and them getting it free they will be getting ahead already%)%);D

Sometimes a moment of hapiness given to a loved one is worth it's weight in gold. Whether sis changes her mind or not, the thought and the memory of surprising her is worth it. I bought my son a Bronco many years ago and gave it to him on his 25th birthday, nothing can take the place of the look on his face when I handed him the keys.

I will keep ya in mind thanks, I would just like to see if it runs first. I would guess the carb needs to be rebuilt since there is a rebuild kit in the bronco. First I will clean it and drop the tanks, blow out the fuel line and throw in a new filter and a hot battery and see what happens.
