Well I had a fun filled and action packed weekend at the National Cherry Festival

Friday- Went to the USCG Air Station in Traverse City to get up close with the Blue Angels and some other planes... A-10s, AT-6s, a P-51D, F-15, F/A-18 (same as the Blue Angels) an F-16, C-130 "Fat Albert" and the Coast Guard "Dolphin" Helos (there are 5 stationed in TC) I tried to fly one but i got tackled by security 4 or 5 times... Saw the Angels get ready and take off for their final practice, and most of the others as well. Also got to meet the National Cherry Queen. ;D ;D

Saturday- Got VIP Passes to the Air Show, got to sit with the mayor of TC and a bunch of the Coast guard along with the Angels Ground crew. Afterward took the Bronco to the Hagerty Cruise Night, got caught in traffic, mine was running at 220 degrees, but a lot of the other old iron was overheating. Ended the cruise at the local Casino had some food and drinks there for us, left there and headed back downtown TC for The Lost Trailers and Jullianne Hough....MY GOD!!!!!!! That girl is beautiful, she is 10x hotter in person than her video, and even hotter than Carrie Underwood (i didnt even know that was possible) I tried to meet her but i got tackled by security 4-5 times ( i am seeing a patten here)

Sunday- Took the bronco to the Hagerty car show, didnt expect to take any trophies....and i didn't. But there were some wicked cars there, even another 67 Wagon, Pretty much original. Even mine cleaned up well... Got to watch some of sundays air show from the Hagerty center while chatting up one of the Hagerty employees...nice pretty girl, even liked the Bronco, had her own 66 Mustang....and a boyfriend.

Now for the pics...

You need to come down to Pensacola one year when the Blue Angels have their homecoming show. They're based in Pensacola and throw a big party every year. Its a lot of fun if you like that kinda thing.

that's an interesting read, crewwzin. thanks!
after reading crewwzin's link, i thought "it would be neat to see the american crossroads exhibit", and it seems that according to grant_71's link, they are trying to get GM to let the AC diorama exhibit tour with the futurliner. neat stuff!

Great pics - wasn't that Futureliner one of the most expensive vehicle auctions ever at Barret Jackson?

IIRC, it was around $4.5M

$1.5M sales are now routine at BJ. The Futureliner set the record 2 years 2 years ago as I recall. It may have been broken last year, but I'm not sure.

Actually, I think there are at least 2 of these restored. There were a handful produced for the world's fair to promote GM's technologies as I recall.
