After working outside yesterday I came in fired up craigslist and searched broncos and came across one that just posted. Called, went and saw it and bought it. Picked it up this morning and kinda put it together to save space. I came with a bunch of new sheetmetal for the front which I don't think it really needs. The original floor isn't even rusted thru. From what the guy I bought it from said the original owner died and it sat for 20 years. He said the engine ran well when he pulled it last year. It has new tires and rims. Here are some pictures.

A couple more pictures. I'm not sure what kind of power steering box this is though.

Can't wait to see what this will become! What are your plans?

Yes, that looks like a 4x4x2 box

I was thinking it was that box. I just haven't done any research on it. Are they any good, strong?
As far as plans I think I will stay with a gas motor. Being a 76 I need to visit the smog police. I need to look at the options to make it pass emissions. I do have a 351 Cleveland sitting around not doing anything and also a Med Riser 427... maybe not the 427. Plans for the rest is kinda of up in the air. I would like to have a Moab, Rubicon rig so maybe full width axles 44 or 60's. I do need to build my son his bronco too.

Thanks for all the comments and the answers on the steering box. Sounds like a keeper except for the new posts today about the broken output shaft.
