My heater has a new core, new hoses and a new heat valve. With the engine fully warmed up the core feels cold. I am assuming there is an air bubble in the core. What is the best way to get the air out?

Make sure the valve is working correctly.

I just turn on the heater and let it idle. If nothing is plugged your water pump will clear the air out. Nothing hi tech required. If you think it is plugged, back flush the core with the garden hose. Disconnect both heater hoses and run water through it "gently". Too much pressure and you will split the heater core.
