Has anyone used the Gage radius arms up front and James duff 4-link on the rear? It looks like the bracket for the front arms are going to interfere with the bracket for the lower arms on the four link in the rear. I want to run both but I'm not sure if its posible. anybody done it? Had to make changes to make it work? thanks for any info.

I currently have these same parts in Taz's bedroom (which he no longer sleeps in), his motor and trans is in the garage. It's for his rig, We will be starting his build soon..
I looked at this and it does look close but a stretch is in the build. I'm looking 6"-8" back for the rear axles and 2"-4" up front.
This should solve that problem..

I don't know if the arms are the same as Duff arms but I have Duffs front arms and rear 4-link and they fit great. Ya it is a little close. I have a pic on my photos. I have more pics that I will try to put in my gallery if that helps.

Yeah, if you can I would really appriciate it. The bracket for the Cage arms is wider so I think it's going to be an issue but I'm not sure. Thanks for your help.

Are you going to stretch your wheelbase at all? If so, that should give you another couple inches to work with... you should be able to go about 2 or so without running into issues with wheel openings, cross member or gas tank. Or trim up that angled frame bracket, the skid part of it wont be needed with the 4l link bracket backed up to it. HTH BR

I'm not planning on extending the wheel base. So nobody has this combination with the james duff 4-link and the Cage radius arms huh? If you do I just was wondering if they would work together without extending the wheelbase.

Here's a pic Suzy Duff sent me recently of her new trail rig. It has the Duff arms (very similar to CAGE) and the Duff 4-link. It looks like they pivot pretty close to each other but fit OK. I told Suzy she should make a single pivot bracket that accomodates both systems. It could look pretty cool with some lightning holes and dimple dies...

Thats a great picture but it kind of looks like she extended her wheel base a bit. I'm not an expert by any means but it looks like it to me. good looking bronco though, one of these days maybe mine will be that nice.

I would go ahead and set-up the Cage arms according to his directions and drill one of the holes to mount the bracket--just to see where it should end up...then go ahead and install the Duff-stuff...if you need to clearance the Cage brakcet, you can mark and trim. You may consider, once you have everything sized properly to have the two brackets welded together (like Dusty alluded to), then drill a few extra, large holes in the combo bracket that you can plug weld to the frame, plus some intermittent welds along the periphery and it should be beef and clean looking...keep a few through bolts for POM.

I finished installing and welding the Cage stuff in the last week or so but I think I can make it all work once i get the money for the 4-link. I just wanted to know how big of a pain it was for anyone who had done it already. thanks for the advise. your suggestion is probably what I'll end up doing.(clearancing the Cage bracket if I need to)

Dusty,

Thanks for the pic. Ya, I am stretched just 2-2 1/2" F&R. I'm about 97" overall (not much, but every little bit helps. Ya, I have looked at that C*ge bracket and the slide on it can easily be clearanced if need be. However, you can easily stretch the rear a couple inches without any major mods to your tank or crossmember (mine is still intact, I wanted to see what could be done without going buggy style) Actually I think either Crab or his buddy Ryan did the same setup on his rig. You might try doing a search I think they posted pics when they did it last year before SOB. (It is a little harder to tell since they painted everything all blue.) I just got a copy of pics from my Dad and Travis Tancayo from SOB and they have tons of pics of Ryan's rig on the ramp. I'll see what I can find. As far as the combo bracket for both with a skid plate, I was discussing that with Dusty but the problem arises with how much or little people will want to stretch the wheelbase there...
