Camper for a Bronco

I've seen online that there was an available camper for classic broncos. Does anyone know if there are any campers in production that would fit a 68 Bronco. Or, does anyone know of an original camper that was built for a Bronco for sale? It's not really important, but it would be fun to have one. Thanks.

I did some serious digging into this a while back. Basically with the high prices of Broncos now and the rarity of these campers, you are going to pay big money ($12k-$15k) for a camper Bronco that was built in the 70s or early 80s and not be in very good condition. It's going to need a lot of work usually, not to mention the Bronco will too. I searched high and low and sent several emails to the companies making them now to see about getting a new one built on the back of my Bronco. That will run about $10k and I highly recommend All Terrain Campers (ATC) over Phoenix Pop Up (asking $17k), the only two companies I found that will make one with ATC having a better reputation. Four Wheel Campers, the original makers of the most common Bronco camper, quit a few years ago due to losing money on them.

It almost makes more sense to purchase a new pop up camper to pull behind your Bronco for the same price. There are several other options where your money could go further. I found some other members on here with them and they love them and enjoy them with their family, the reason I wanted to get one.

This advice is somewhat practical. I just sold my Scotty Class C 6 wheel, 4 wd camper this summer, and bought a small tow behind. The benefit of the all in one rig comes in handy when beach camping or trail camping. You can modify the trailers to handle the trail, but it's a compromise. Either way, I love the pop up Broncos

Thanks guys. I figured this was a crap shoot but I thought I would give it a try. My initial idea was mounting a Kamprite cot tent to my roll-cage when I set up camp. That way I am off the ground and still have some privacy.

I am still considering getting a roof top tent for mine and mounting it on the roll cage. I won't have a top on this Bronco so it would make a strong support to support the weight. I have a big family and will begin to make outings soon.

I have had the idea of building an exo-rack (inspired by some used on the LR Defender 90 - like ones in the Camel Trophy) and using a roof mount tent a while now.
The idea being whether I used my hard top or not I could use the roof rack and then use the tent or not.

The pop-up campers look like a good idea at first glance, but they move the center of gravity up more than a roof tent would.

Here's the set up the previous owner of my Bronco set up. A canvas tent that fits on the back of the Bronco with a plywood platform that folds out over the tailgate for your sleeping bag with a drawer underneath to hold the camping gear
