It's that time of year again. The Round Up is over so lets start thinking about the beaches of NC. Every year a group of 4x4 enthusiast get together with a common cause. That common cause is to clean up the place we call our second home. Carova Beach is the focus of our efferts for the 8th year. As I've said before, If you haven't been to or heard of Carova Beach you need to see this place. Such beauty and peacefulness all in one and lets not forget the Spanish Mustangs that date back to the 1600's.

This year we are slatted to do the Klean Up on Saturday October 3rd. We will meet up at MM 21 and assign areas of responsibility to those who attend. If we have enough help we will even tackle the back roads of Carova Beach. After the beach is clean we will do lunch and raffle off some swag.

Pictures from past clean ups.

I am with you guys in spirit, first time I went up there I fell in love with the place. If I even win the lottery I plan to snowbird from there to down here in the FL Keys.

Joaquim came through and rained us out on the original date. Worked it out and we did the clean with KMA Jeep club on the 21st. It turned out to be a beautiful day for the end of November. This year we worked the back roads and still picked up a bunch of trash.

Dang Rick, I blew it!! Had it in my mind this was last weekend (14th) and I couldn't make it due to my baby girls birthday plans. Had nothing pressing to do yesterday and what a beautiful fall beach day it was!! Jealous I missed it!! And now look at what a lousy day we get today. Mother nature was definitely looking out to get some help cleaning up. Good work guys!!
