I got some parts back from powder coat yesterday. The first place I took them didn’t want to do it. They told me the moving parts would be stuck together and it would run. I knew a good place could mask so I took them to Future Weld and they were confident they could do it. They turned out great.

Let us know how they hold up. My neighbor Chrome powder coated his
'68 camaro hood springs which didn't hold up very well and eventually rusted (we live in the ocean salt spray zone.) I understand keeping original parts, but when available I try to get anything stainless steel that I can. I know they build all but the lift gate support (which I'd switch that over to a hydraulic shock) out of stainless these days. Not putting down your great looking parts, just personal experience.

Looks great! Not every powder coater will do 'chrome', as I understand there are actually 2 coats of powder and it can be difficult to lay down the second coat evenly over the first. Your shop did a great job, what's their name? I have some parts I want done in chrome myself and the shop up here won't touch them...

I had all my pullies/brackets/etc done on my wife's, turned out well and looked good. Someone on here did a grille and then painted the outer area to leave the center the chrome powder, looked real nice, very similar to the argent.

Has Pinky had any wear or rust issues? How about the V groove on the pulleys?
