I have opened a can of worms. The 289 that I picked up had a broken clutch bolt in the flywheel, and some damaged teeth so I ordered this one from Jegs, as I had a large order and figured I would take advantage of the free shipping on a 30lb flywheel

It is a 164 tooth 28oz flywheel, though I didn't notice that it was for a diaphragm clutch cover, and does not accept the original long style pressure plate. Rather than return it, I am hoping to run to the local FLAPS and pick up an 11" diaphragm clutch. My old leg may appreciate the reduced pedal effort, even though my wallet hates buying more parts..
So, what Ford truck do I tell the parts guy to look up, to get the correct 11" clutch set? My guess would be a late 80's F250 with a 351W, but it would be nice to know for sure.
Thanks. SD

I just installed the LuK Clutch Kits 07-027 in my bronco along with a new flywheel. Previously I had a generic diaphragm style 10" from the local parts store. The new LUK has a noticablely easier pedal feel. I would definitely recommend it. I ordered it off of Amazon with free prime shipping.

BTW, I also had to replace the pressure plate bolts. The old clutch used 5/16 but the new one required 3/8. I grabbed the Mr. Gasket 910 from the local big box.

If you can wait a few days I have a new pressure plate I won’t use. I can get you measurements to ensure fitment.
