That really sucks. I had heard that he had not been doing anything with his bronco for a while and now he is totally getting rid of it ,

As with most of us - he's probably been hit with hard times lately - maybe more so than most . I would bet he's doing what a lot of people are doing, especially around here - lightening the debt load a bit. I doubt he'll be too far from the EB world though. Like most of us, I'd bet he has a bit 'O EB running though his blood, so he can't abstain for too long ;D

That is a very nice rig. He posted a for sale ad here in classifieds yesterday. I wonder what it ran as far as quarter mile times ? I don't want to e-mail him and ask. It must suck to have to sell your pride and joy, I feel like I'd be rubbing it in if I asked but didn't want to buy it.

If I remember right, it ran the mid to upper 14's in the quarter.

Best time at a mile of altitude was 14.6.

I would cry if I had to sell mine. and it's junk. I can't imagine what he's goin through... :'(

It's, ah.....not easy. I've got a lot of attachment to this rig. It's what got me the ride with Alan Jackson, it's what I painted in my recently deceased father's auto body shop to get to know the place and him right after he drove his plane into the ground, it's the vehicle on which I learned a great deal about engineering and motors and more, and it's something I poured heart and soul into, not to mention blood and money, for many years. It's a truly unique rig, and it's fun as hell EVERY time it's driven. Yea....it's hard letting her go. Very hard.

The absolute worst part about Coby selling right now is he can't really cash out. A few years ago some punk form CA (OK not all punks are from CA but the ones with money were ;) ;) )would have forked out around $30K for the rig. With the economic dump, Bronco values have tanked.
It is one beast of a rig. I may have to go out and buy a lottery ticket.

Sorry to hear this Coby. Always looked forward toward your input on this site when I got on hear and the forum was 10 pages long.
I hate to see you sell it, but I wish you the best in your future.

Thanks guys. And yea, it probably won't fetch much.....nowhere near half. Eh, I kinda expected that. It'll be a GREAT deal for whoever ends up with it. There's a German bidding on it now; I'd really hate to see this thing end up in a foriegn country; I'd at least like it to be in the states where I can offer support for it and see how it develops. Ugh.

I was wondering if Coby's beast got to stay in the family and someone from here purchased it or if the German bought it. Man that was a nice rig

Still not sure...Ebay screwed things up and I'm trying to sort it out. A member of this site wanted to bid at the last moment but there was a glitch. Not sure if other bidders got affected by it or not.

What was the winning bid? What sort of glitch? 8)

WB was $14,100 I think and the glitch was some stupid rule ebay has that I'd never heard of where to bid over 15k you had to fill out some paperwork????????
