As long as the suspension is designed correctly, it's fine on the road. If you go coilovers, you have to link the suspension, which has far more to do with handling on the road than the coilovers themselves. It also depends on what spring rates you use on the coilovers.

That is something I will go after on my truck once I at least get it running and can enjoy it. From what I have seen there is a trend to move to air shocks instead of coilovers. This allows you a better opportunity to adjust the suspension without having to make a big investment in coils. I also think doing some work to better adapt the valving of the shock to your needs could make a big difference in overall performance.

One of the guys I work with is good friends with Walker Evans and I guess he will be coming out with a line of them soon, if not already.

Thanks for the input. I guess the link suspension is what I'm not sure of in the handle on the road part. I know it's great offroad i'm guess I need to research what systems will give me good road manners too.

four links works grate for the road. it just needs to be set up for it. but in that you loose some off road capability but not much. my brother had a duel triangulated four link on the front and flex joints on the rear leaf springs with 44'' rockers and did really well on the roads, he was doing 60mph and he didnt even know it didnt wonder or anything. (i was behind him in my car)

This is true, but I think something else driving the air shocks is the price difference up front. I like them, but if you bust one on the trail you have nothing to hold your truck up.
