From the American Sand Association:
"For decades the endangered species act has been trotted out every time the environmental extremists want to restrict our rights to public lands. It is their weapon of choice against those who want to recreate in the great outdoors.
The Bush Administration is finally taking action to plug this sierra-sized loophole. They want to revamp this flawed piece of legislation.
Public comments are needed!! (You know the anti access groups will respond in great numbers)"

We need as many comments sent as we can to prevent the eco-nazi's having the free reign they've enjoyed these last few years.

I whole-heartedly back the Bush Administration in reviewing and revising the
Endangered Species Act!
The ESA has been outdated and used by many environmental organizations with
selfish personal agendas to take away the public's right to access public lands
due to species on the list that are no longer endangered or should not be on the
list in the first place. My family and I have enjoyed recreating on public lands, be
it USFS, Fish & Wildlife, BLM or county etc, for over 20 years and it has become
nearly impossible to enjoy them anymore due to the "proclaimed" violation of the
ESA by environmental groups. The ESA must be reviewed and revised to be up to
date and give a fair assessment of those species that are truly endangered as of
this date.
I have no problem protecting those that require protection, but I feel
there are many on the list that simply do not belong and either were never truly
endangered or have prospered to the point they no longer are. Some of these
species listed actually thrive in areas where there is public access. A prime example
of this are the Mountain and Desert Bighorn Sheep who readily habituate to human presence,
which is the exact opposite of what wilderness advocates would have you believe.
Please consider my support for Revision of the EPA.
