Those look good! I have the discoverer ATP on a couple different vehicles. Not as aggressive as the STT, but cooper makes a good tire

I was ready to buy one of the Cooper SST - dont remember which one - good tire good tread design - but they were HEAVY and the Cooper salesman said they were better suited for pickups - preferably 3/4 tons. The tire you're considering might not be the one I was looking at - just a heads up something to check out.

Have you looked at the Cooper Evolution M/T. Its a pretty aggressive looking tire but alot less money than the SST. I'm considering them for my F150 when I get tires in the fall. I have been running AT3s and they are a long lasting tire and I have never had any traction problems. I don't wheel my pickup, but I do use it on our farm trails to get fire wood and they have done well.

I would like to try the Evolutions next though.

I like the Coopers over BFGs in the midwest with rain, snow, and ice. Used to be a diehard BFG guy, but the Coopers seem to have a better rubber compound for slick conditions (it might be the tire siping too). BFGs do last longer and I've always like BFGS for thicker sidewalls offload, but I think the SSTs have a good sidewall for rocks and four wheeling too.
I've run the Coopers M+S when they still had 15" versions (31s) and loved them. Not ideal in summer being a winter tire %), but what a difference in poor conditions.
My son ran all season Coopers (don't remember model) on his Mountaineer and I thought they performed well too. Oh, and they are made in America. ;D
I miss the original BFG Mud Terrians. I couldn't wear them out, but they sucked in the rain and I slid my Bronco through many a wet intersection. Yikes.

I like ‘em. I didn’t put a ton of miles on them before I tore the truck down, but they ride well and didn’t seem any louder than previous BFG ATs. I was running Goodyear MT-R’s before the STT Pros, and for daily driving they are an improvement.

You can see pics of 37 X 12.5 X 17’s in the link in my signature.
