Spent most of last week at Pismo Beach (more specifically Oceano Dunes SVRA) with my wife and a couple of So Cal Broncos buddies (Danny Bogner, Gines Arnau, Eric Larson). We were mostly just beach bums and only made it out into the dunes a couple of times. So I didn't get a whole lot of photos but here are a few of them.

Here's our pathetic "goup photo" LOL...just mine and Gines' Broncos. Danny's had broken a driveshaft the day before, and Eric didn't bring his (I don't blame him, he brought an LS-powered long-travel buggy instead ;D)

Our campsite. It doesn't get any more beach-front than that. I figure that's about $2 million dollars worth of property I rented for $10 a night LOL

This is why Eric didn't bring his EB:

Couple more shots from out in the dunes...

And of course the obligatory sunset on the beach shot:

Raylan and Pink enjoyed their first trip to the beach! They just turned 5 months old.

Sure was rough doing this for a few days instead of working...

Plenty of barleypops were drank from sunup to sundown. I ran out of my homebrew on the second day though, had to run to the store for some great central coast craft beer. The IPA from Tapit is killer.

Had to run into town for some clam chowder at the Splash Café.

Since I'm so far off topic already and posting food photos, here's a shot of the "bucket" I had at the Cracked Crab. Damn that was good eat'n!

Another sunset shot

I hate these pictures (kidding). I'm so jealous. Wish I lived out west every time I look at these. Someday maybe.

Cool.

You can do the same as this right here in Michigan.

I do like the pics though. I think I should have not looked so close to dinner time. Now I'm hungry as hell.

Great pics. Looks like a great time. Always wanted to run some dunes but it is a big NO NO here on the east coast. And the food porn is always good too!

Thanks for the good comments on my photos guys. We used to go to Pismo every July, but we missed it the last two years. Back in the day we had pretty large groups, 20+ So Cal Broncos there at once, plus a few of our Nor Cal brethren. But this time around I didn't really beat the drum too loud leading up to it. Next year I'll try to remember to post a notice here on CB in case any of you non-So Cal Broncos folks want to join us.

I love Pismo, but I avoided it for a few years do to the land use issues down there, I'm finally going back this October.

That's actually a better time to go! The weather is always pretty iffy in June and July when we go. It seems to be nicer later summer and fall. We have to work around Steffie's school schedule though.

Yes I take them off fairly regularly, they're all very easy to pop off, just a few bolts. In fact I'm going to completely disassemble it here over the next few weeks for paint. I took it to the beach with bare steel cage and bumpers knowing they would come back orange with rust from the salty air, but I was going to pull them off for blasting and powder coating right after that trip anyhow.

Thanks for the props on Raylan and Pink. We left our 3 adult mastiffs at home, it gets to be a bit much traveling with all of them LOL.. Sorry to hear about your bully. We've lost a few over the years, its never easy.
