Cover solutions

I have a 1st gen Bronco that I have not been getting much use out of. Unfortunately, I do not have a garage. What are the best covering options or storage solutions when the vehicle is not use? My bronco is running/driving but I would like to pull the hardtop off it without having to put it back on every time I drive it. To make the matter of covering it more complicated I do not currently have a roll cage. It seems like there should be some simple solution. I had thought about adding a soft top but they seem like a hassle. I had thought about adding a garage to my house but my family has nearly outgrown it so we'll be selling it soon. I had seen trail covers but it seems like it would be tough to make that work without a roll cage for support. My main concern is keeping water out of the cab but I figure while I'm at it that I might as well find a solution that keeps water off of the entire truck.

Not necessarily a cover for the bronco but a solution to your problem: Harbor freight sells a 10 x 17 portable garage for $169-$199 depending on the sale. That's where mine goes in the winter up here. They don't last forever but good shorter term solution.

That is what I would do, and when you move you can take it with you.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. Do you just have it set up in the grass in your yard? I'm assuming it'll kill the grass and i'm a bit worried about mud. i guess i could throw some pavers down maybe throw down some gravel?? or do you think the grass will make it? Probably dumb questions.. lol

The portable garage will kill your grass just like parking your EB in the grass for extended time will. Gravel will likely drive into your topsoil and disappear unless you install a geotextile fabric on top of the topsoil and then the gravel. Mud only exists if you have dirt and water. Keep the water out and you will be fine.

You'll regret it if you cover it with a car cover.
I covered mine through a winter and it corroded everything made of aluminum.
Most car covers won't allow enough ventilation.

I use a shelter logic 12 X 30 Canopy and a trail cover to keep the stray cats out of the topless cab. The cover only cover the open top the Bronco still gets very dirty but not the inside.
