Hey guys, I need some help here. I am in the process of designing an H1 style (but much smaller) center console for my 73. From the firewall back to in between the two front seats, up as high as the bottom of my CD player then following the tranny cover down at an angle then level off and go back between the seats. I will also be taking a chunk out where the T case shifter goes since it will be going up to dash level at that point.

I have seen one or two pics from people who have done center consoles in their EB's but nothing quite to this extent. However, I do want to get some more ideas, so are there any of you out there who could post some EB center console pics?

Note: I am planning on using MDF with carpeting on the sides, probably some smoother nicer looking surface for the face. This thing will reroute teh heater hoses, hold two 5.25 inch speakers, CB, cupholders, smaller compartments that I can find out of junkyard cars, some gauges and some switches. Nothing too complex to build, just want to keep the dash looking clean and this will help utilize space and look good. Hit me up with some ideas!!

Check out my gallery. I built a console that moves all switches off the dash to the console. Used a 1x2 conduit to route all the wires and that was too small. If I were doing it again, I'd use 1x3 or one 1x2 on each side. Leave yourself more room than you think you'll need for wiring on switches etc. Easier to keep it neat and secure that way.
