I just ordered a Duff 3 1/2" lift kit with the front "stage 1" shock towers. I can see that I need to remove the original towers. Howe hard is that? any pointers? Looks like a torch job (nope, no plasma cutter). Any pointers appreciated!

I had no torch, no plasma cutter.....

I used a couple different things, electric grinder, pneumatic grinder, sawzall, etc....
Prolly took me a lot longer than most folks, but I wanted it done and didn't have the torch or plasma....

I cut the shock towers and coil buckets off not long ago with a cutoff wheel and sawsall. Wasn't difficult

not too bad...can be done by grinding the welds off. Here is a post from my build thread when I removed mine.
If you don't care to save them you could just cut the upper part off to get at the weld behind it easier.

I did the same thing about 10 years ago on mine. Wasn't concerned about the towers but more about not gouging into the frame. Ground the remainder of the welds smooth then threw a coat of epoxy primer over it.
