Dash Knob Removal

I need to remove all the knobs to finish pulling the dash. Is there an easy way to pull them off without breaking anything (which I am pretty good at!)??? I do have one of those bezel removal tools, but I am thinking that the round ones with the handles Wildhorses sells on eBay are better than the flat one I bought. Lend me your knowledge!

Should be pretty simple. Some of the knobs are attached to their posts with allen screws. I think others either don't come off or are part of the entire assembly. I think you have to disconnect them from the back of the dash. I have the other style tool you mentioned and it was pretty easy to remove them. Just take your time and they should come right off.

Like FirstSergeant said - most come apart with an allen wrench. There are set screws that hold them tight against the shaft.
The headlight switch comes apart from behind. If memory serves there's a button on the back of the switch assembly that when depressed allows the knob to come out, shaft and all.

As others have said, many of the knobs have an allen head set screw underneath that needs to come out for the knob to come off. The others - cables mostly - are part of the assembly and need to either be removed with the cable, oor you can take the knobs off by heating them up with a cigarette lighter and melting them off, however this does you no good for pulling the dash since you will still need to undo the cable assemblies.
